Rough luxe me like..

My husband and I love to travel and most of the time we visit friends and stay at their places, but sometimes we spend the night in hotels. We love to search out really untraditional, and often smaller hotels, just for the pleasure of experiencing something new and out of the ordinary :) I was told about this hotel in London... Love the rough walls and the contrasts between old and new..

Ma fleuriste favouri / My favourite flowerist

Like many of you guys I simply LOVE flowers, and to have fresh flowers in my home means a lot to me. They don´t have to be fancy or expensive. I love simplicity and often I just go out and pick some wild- flowers in my nabourhood. However, to special occations I allow myself to get some really nice quality-flowers...


My favourite flower is Magnolia. Other than that I love Hydrangea or Hortensia in Norwegian, lillies and roses. These flowers I get from this increadible flowerist at Frogner, Oslo. It was started by a woman called Aina Nyberget during fall of 1999. Her little boutique called Passiflora took off after she was asked to make the bridalbouquet to the norwegian crownprincess...Here are some pics..

Italian beauty

We´ve had a tradition for several years of spending some of our summerholiday in southern europe. For the last 2 years we haven´t been able to go, but looking at these pics tells me it´s soon time again...



I love the simplicity of the interior in this house...the yellow and blue is perfect against the white brick-walls during summer. So refreshing and peaceful..makes me wanna take some of my favorite books and lie in the shade, listening to the sea and drink smoothies all day long...maybe next summer? Enjoy!

I love the rustic feeling these pics give. The mix between the withe brick and the warm wood is SO beautiful! Love the old big sink that gives the kitchen a really special atmosphere. This kitchen inivites to south-european cooking-art on a high level, and the bedroom to loooong sleepy mornings...Enjoy!!

I just moved from sunny California to Oslo, Norway about a month ago, and when the weather gets rainy like today, I long for the long warm summernights..Ahw!

Here comes some more pics from my day at the shore..My facination for old boats and the beauty you can find in them led me to these pics..Thought they made pretty nice background- photos...Love the feeling they give, and have you ever smelled the underside of an old boat? Smells of rustic wood and salty sea...takes you right back to sweet memories of a childhoodsummer by the sea..

Salty boatbeauty....

I just visited my brother in law and took a stroll around the beach area where he lives. I happened to find some amazingly beautiful boates there. I´ve always found so much beauty in the wood on the underside of the boat. The salty water grinds the paint into a masterpiece. Salty water is truly one of the greatest artists i know of.... just think about how it always makes the driftwood so beautiful, and the stones...

Ah, I felt so blessed stumbling over theese amazing boats...makes me drift away once again into true romance...I took some of my favorite summerprops and played with them...earings, bracelet & elle = a must on a stunning summer day :)



The number 9 has always facinated me. Don´t know why but it´s always stood out to me as the most beautiful number. Loved this version of it. The simpler and rawer, the better...
